Hello, my name is Johanna Bergmann.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Resource Management (Brandenburg Technical University) and a Master’s degree in Public and Private Environmental Management (Free University of Berlin). During my studies I was able to collect working experience as an intern and student assistant in the German Environment Ministry (division for renewable energies) and at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (Fraunhofer ISI).
In 2007, I started working as a trainee in the Development Cooperation Trainee Program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. This included a 9-months assignment with the Environment Program of GTZ in Morocco, a 3-months assignment with the Delegation of the European Commission in Morocco, as well as a 6-months assignment with InWEnt, the former German institution for development focussing on capacity building. After completion of the trainee program, I stayed with InWEnt as a project manager for renewable energy and mitigation projects. After the merger of InWEnt with GTZ and DED (new: GIZ) in 2011, my new position as an advisor included the design and implementation of capacity building events for the International Partnership on Mitigation and MRV.
I have been working as a freelance independent consultant since May 2014.
I have lived in Morocco, Poland, France, Guatemala and the US. Next to German, I speak English, French and Spanish.
I offer professional help for your sustainability and climate change mitigation projects. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
My assignments as a freelance consultant have so far included the following:
